Our Journey from Greece to Global Offshore Support Leadership
MCT was established in 2002 as a specialised Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) company, built around best-in-class maritime practices and the highest operational and technical standards of the Oil & Gas industry. At a time when Greek ownership had only limited presence in this demanding sector, MCT was among the pioneers in developing dedicated expertise and capabilities in offshore marine operations.
Over the past 25 years, MCT has evolved into a trusted offshore vessel owner and manager, serving some of the world’s leading energy companies and establishing a strong track record in technically demanding and operationally complex environments.
Dionysis Papatheodosiou, owner and Managing Director of MCT, identified Brazil as a strategic market and one of the world’s most sophisticated offshore environments. The company invested in a permanent local office, management structure and operational platform, with the objective of establishing MCT as a significant participant in the Brazilian OSV sector.
This long-term commitment has enabled MCT to progressively strengthen its local position, develop relationships with major operators and key industry stakeholders, and establish the foundations for further fleet and commercial expansion in Brazil.
MCT has also established a significant presence in West Africa, where continued offshore exploration, production and marine support activity is generating sustained demand for modern, reliable and technically capable vessels.
To support further expansion in this market, MCT is implementing a newbuilding programme in China focused on modern tugs. The programme will increase fleet capacity, enhance the company’s technical offering and provide the platform required to pursue new long-term opportunities across West Africa and other strategic offshore markets.

MCT has an Integrated Management System (ISO 9001) certified by Lloyd’s, in its headquarters in Athens. The Company is also a member of the “International Marine Contractors Association”, complying with the best practices in Corporate Social Responsibility, Compliance and Sustainable Environment.
Where We Operate
Brazil Fleet
MCT operates 4 vessels on long-term charters with Petrobras under REB and Brazilian flags, with a 5th vessel being reactivated and a 6th in active discussions.
West Africa Fleet
3 AHTS vessels operating for Sonangol, ENI, BP, Shell, Chevron and affiliates in anchor handling, tanker lifting, and related offshore activities across West Africa.
Gulf of Guinea Operations
Our Standards
Fully upgraded and overhauled 10 AHTS units since 2019. Roving technical superintendents, DP2-certified crews, and strict QHSE procedures ensure operational excellence across all vessels.
